This is a very short story 1 scene not very steamy. Would not waste my time or money on this one
Hot and heavy bdsm scenes abound in this short novella sure to draw you in and leave you wanting more. The way they meet was not very original and there was not any elaboration as to any background character development.
This is definitely a story for those into pain and a wee bit too dark for me (though I realise others may find it to their liking). I quite liked the story and characters but thought his emotions chopped and changed too quickly. Would have to say I wouldn't recommend it but that is due to personal taste and not that it's a "bad" book.
The start is a bit strange with the job interview in cheap clothes and getting hired directly.
But after that it really starts soon and hot.
She learns a lot but not about work.
No 5 stars because of the ending.
I want to know more!
and I would have liked to know more about the background of the main characters
My nearly ended up as a pile of broken glass and plastic. Why do some authors write a BDSM story only to skewer the lifestyle and portray it in such a bad light?

Honey, if it's anything other than sane, safe and consensual, then you're a fool.
50 Shades scenario, a down on her luck, nubile heroine NEEDS the job as an executive assistant to, what else?, a billionaire CEO. During the interview, he has a proposition for her - become his "student" on the side to cater to his kinkier tastes in sex for $20K per month. The interview ends with her first taste - no condom, no medical evaluation, no hard or soft limits discussion. Are you kidding me? Yes, it's fiction, but a little more accuracy and adherence to the general BDSM rules would have been preferable.
I thought this was a nicely paced exciting novella and I can't wait to see where this goes!! I'd like to know what James is hiding and why he wanted them to be done.
This was interesting. My gripes include 1) Virtually no build up of the story before the sex starts. I can't stand a smut book that focuses more on the sex than the story. 2) There were a metric ton of grammatical errors. 3) This was entirely too short of a snippet. I honestly can't say for sure if I'd want to read more because there wasn't enough here for me to get a good feel for the book.
The sex was good though. And the promise of a decent D/s story is there, just not cultivated enough yet.
