My sister and I both started reading this series and neither one of us could complete it!The first book really hooked both of us with its humor, adventure, light romance and the whole alien/human idea. The second book, has honestly been nothing but depressing! Also with this having inspirational/religious tones throughout what I have read, then why the fowl language that is steadily increasing? I can't imagine what the author is thinking! I made it to 65% of the second book and just had to stop!
My sister made it to the 3rd book, but warned me it gets even more crude! And is still depressing! She also said that she felt it just got plain stupid. Characters not really acting the way you would think they should act in the circumstances given.
All I know is, the author had a great start but ruined it with bad language and nothing but depression for readers of this second book. I actually dreaded picking up the book and reading it because of how sad it is.... And at the 65 % and the introduction of the B word, I'M DONE! Either write a book with religious undertones or write like the world, BUT DO NOT MIX THEM TOGETHER! IT UNDERMINES THE WHOLE MESSAGE!

Great reading
If you liked the first book just wait until you see what happens next
The plot excells steadily, but not quite fast. The characters grow. It does end on a cliffhanger. Overall, well written.
This was a great continuation of the first book. I felt for Lilly as struggles to go on with her life and Charlie as he tries to hold on to his. Of course you are left with needing to know what happens to them. I can't wait to read the final book.
Talk about a part 2 of a story. This novel was very different from the 1st book. It was a lot darker and you got a mouthful of bitterness from the Dictatorial government of Sentria. This book will get a rile out of you and have you wanting blood. You will have to read it to see if justice is served, but it's a roller coaster of a ride as the story unfolds. The ending has a different kind of cliff hanger. I can't wait to read book 3 and finally get the Complete circle.
Well, I usually shy away from multiple book series, but decided to read book one. Soon as I finished the first book I was getting the second. These are different science fiction. A kind of Romeo and Juliet story. Now that I finished the second book I can't wait to start the third. The characters, their hopes, their disappointments are real and apparently timeless
This is Book 2 of The Circle. Charlie and Lilly's story continues.
Lily is left on earth thinking Charlie is dead while Charlie is on Sentaria being tortured. Charlie is considered mentally ill because he thinks his One is an Earth girl. He is sentenced to 10 years in a mental hospital. His doctor and nurse utilize Charlie to try and make a name for themselves. While Charlie and Lily are miserable and trying to live without each other, a new, radical group is conspiring to overtake the Sentrian government.
Miss Montemayor keeps the momentum going in The Circle Broken. It is almost impossible not to feel sad for Lily. Here she is living with the lie that the "man" she loves is dead. She mourns, suffers, and tries hard to continue living.
Miss Montemayor's detailed description of Charlie's torture and suffering makes it impossible for the
reader NOT to feel horror and anger at what he suffers. As a matter of fact, I wonder how she came up with everything he went through. Hmmmm.
All I can say is you can't read book 1 and not go on to book 2.
